Whether you come to enjoy the incredible variety of beaches, lagoons, mountains, dunes, or a detached colonial architecture placed on its forts, fortresses, churches and bridges, you cannot fail to fall in love with one of the most popular destinations in Brazil. There are fine restaurants serving quality food, at prices to suit all pockets. There are many bars and clubs, catering to all tastes, and the nightlife during the season is very lively.

The beaches along the coast of 561 kilometers (348 miles) are a great attraction for tourists visiting the smallest State of the South Region. Florianópolis, is one of the Brazilian cities that receives the most foreign tourists.

 

Garopaba - SC

Garopaba is placed in the south litoral , 91 kilometres from Florianopolis. In the 70`s, a small fishemen community was discovered by adventures tourists who travelled through the zone.

Joinville: Known as a city of prince, Germany architecture, has the most famous Dance Festival South America and it is the flowers capital.

Balneario Camboriú: is famous for the cable car which (uniquely in the world) links the two beaches of Balneário Camboriú and laranjeiras. The town is located 80 Km (50 mi) north of the state capital, Florianopolis.

Beto Carrero: Located only 35 minutes away from Camboriú, one of the biggest thematic parks of Brazil.

The island of Santa Catarina, known to locals by the name of its capital city, Florianopólis, or Floripa for short, has a special tropical glamour and is principally known for its beaches - one for every day of the month, with some to spare!

The city is located 705 kilometres from São Paulo, 1144 km from Rio de Janeiro and 944 km from Foz do Iguaçu - Paraná. It is bounded on the east by the Atlantic Ocean, and to the west it borders the province of Misiones, Argentina. Most of its inhabitants are descendants of Portuguese, German and Italian immigrants.

  Florianopolis is the perfect place to acclimatise on arriving in Brazil, having a well developed infrastructure, and being very safe.

It is recommendable to visit both sides of the island, because it is divided in two big sectors: The north sector, which is very well known by tourists, is a very exiting place and it possesses an excellent tourist infrastructure. The south sector presents the traditional Azorean side of the island that comes from The XVIII century.

  

 

 Rosa Beach

Garopaba is one of the most popular in observation of wales (Eubalena Australis), which takes place between July and November.

Its is a perfect place for ecotourism, nautical sports, has eight beaches and is the preferred destination of surfers looking for good waves.

 

 

                                Blumenau City

Blumenau: The city is famous “Oktoberfest - Festival of the Beer ” (The biggest festival, in its genre, of Brazil, the second one in the world), takes place, but also by its contrast between the old and the modern constructions.

 

            Santa Marta Lighthouse - Laguna

Laguna: It is a colonial city whose antique constructions and solitary beaches combine history and modernism. A special attraction is The Carnival, in which, many samba schools and bands participate.
