                 Beaches of the North Zone

Daniela: Is ideal for families thanks to its calm waters.
Forte: Small beach that has many kiosks along the sand.
Jurerê: Ideal for bathing and nautical sports.
Canasvieiras: It is visited by tourists from Argentina and Uruguay. It has an agitated nocturnal life.
Cachoeira do Bom Jesus: Its perfect for nautical. 
     

Ponta das Canas: This beach contain a fishemen.

Brava: Has big waves, which are ideal for surfing.

Mocambique: The biggest beach of the island. It is 7.5 kilometres long.
Galheta: An isolated beach which is surrounded by little mounts. It contains an area for nudists. 

Barra da Lagoa: Urban beach that has several bars and restaurants.

 

 

 

 Garopaba

Gamboa: Big waves, which is ideal for surfing.
Siriú: Abundant dunes which are ideal for sand board.
Garopaba: It has calm water and dark sand. It is a perfect place for families.
Silveira: This is one of the best locations for surfing.
Da Ferrugem: This beach is popular among young people. It is a recommended place for surfing. It has bars, discos and an agitated nocturnal life.
Ouvidor: This is an inlet with a long sand border. It is not recommended for children.
Vermelha: Another inlet with big waves

Portinho: It is located between Ouvidor and Vermelha. It has some amazing views of scarps.
Coral Island: A beautiful island that is situated 45 minutes, by ship, from Garopaba.

 

  

 Beaches of the South Zone

Morro das Pedras: Big waves are ideal for surfing.
Armação: A small fishermen community. Many ships depart to The Island of Campeche.
Do Matadeiro: This beach presents big waves.
Pântano do Sul: A long beach that contains villas and a fishermen population.
Dos Náufragos: This is a lonely beach with abundant vegetation. It has some rustic bars and lodgings.
Ribeirão da Ilha:
A fishermen community where the oyster farming is developed.
       

 Very Important Beaches

Ingleses: It has regular waves and keeps many traditions from the ancient Azorean habitants. Its natural main attractions are the sand dunes, which are perfect for sand board practice.
Campeche: This beach has a large brand of soft sand. It is a perfect place for surfing. It is a paradisiacal 5 kilometre island with white sand and big waves. 
Joaquina: It is a long beach with big waves. A popular place for surfing and body-board competitions. This beach counts with a very well organized tourist infrastructure to receive visitors, every year, during surfing competitions.
Do Santinho: This is a recommended location for surfing and body-board practice. It is considered the best beach of the north region. This location holds virgin nature where tranquillity is its main characteristic.

 

 

 

Some Other Tourist Places in the South Littoral

Guarda do Embaú: Bests places for surfing practice. It is situated 70 kilometres from Florianópolis.
Imbituba: A perfect place for surf and windsurf.
Rosa Beach: One of the most beautiful beaches of the south. It contains two lakes and clear sand dunes. 
Del Gi Beach: Its principal attraction is La Piedra del Fraile (The Monk's Stone), a monument that is 9 meters high and 5 meters wide.

  The beaches of Galheta, Tereza, Gravatá, Itapirubá, do Sol and do Faro complete the beautifulness of this environment.
